History
Castlefields Primary School was established in 1973; we have seven classrooms teaching children from Reception Class to Year 6. Castlefields School Nursery is located within the main School for children from aged 3 years.
How we work...
Children are grouped so that teachers can set differentiated work and match it to pupils' abilities. This enables children with special educational needs to be supported, and gifted children to be challenged.

Work is matched to ability groupings in all subjects; teachers at Castlefields differentiate all work effectively, so that all ability groups of children are planned for.
Our facilities...
The school offers excellent facilities, including a hall with good P.E. equipment; two playgrounds, one of which is marked as a full size netball court; a climbing/activity playground; we share a large playing field which includes a football pitch, hockey pitch and long jump pit.
We also have a secure fenced area dedicated to outdoor learning for the Reception and Year 1 classes.
